"Innovative STI clinic models: Express Visits, Self-collection of STI tests"
Target Audience: Physicians, midlevel practitioners (PA, NP), nurses, and other health professionals who see patients with or at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Course Description: This course, an update of STI testing models, includes 4 hours of lectures. Faculty from the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center will discuss how STI testing can be adapted to optimize sexual health services. Topics will include express visits and clinics adapting to the pandemic.
Course Objectives:
· Describe Express Visits and how they can be helpful for STI clinic settings.
· Detail how to implement self-collected STI testing.
. Discuss the utility of at-home testing and the impact of the COVID pandemic on STI/ Sexual Health care.
The St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center is accredited by the Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
