Course Objectives

  • Describe current STD screening strategies, diagnostic algorithms, and CDC treatment recommendations.
  • Describe the public health aspects of STD care (e.g. optimal partner management; timely disease reporting).
 

Target Audience

Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses

**Priority is given to medical providers who have not previously attended a PTC STD Intensive Course in Indiana. Non-clinical professionals and those who attended in the past will be automatically placed on the waitlist. **

Space is limited. This training is intended for a clinical audience; 
you will be automatically placed on the waitlist if you are a non-clinical professional (e.g. social worker, health educator) or if the course is full.

CNE (Nurses/Nurse Practitioners): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides 6 nursing contact hours.
