A review of the 2021 CDC STI Treatment Guidelines
Target Audience: Physicians, midlevel practitioners (PA, NP), nurses, and other health professionals who see patients with or at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Course Description: This course, an update includes 4 hours of lectures case studies. Faculty from the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center will provide current evidence-based prevention, diagnostic and treatment recommendations. The recommendations are intended to be a source for clinical guidance.
Course Objectives:
· Describe changes to STI management in the 2021 CDC STI Treatment Guidelines
· Detail new treatment recommendations for gonorrhea and chlamydia
. Discuss impact of STI Treatment Guidelines on partner services
