The Orange County PrEP Navigation Technical Assistance Workshop will feature virtual interactive presentations and small-group activities, with opportunities for maximum learning and participation. The workshop is designed for navigators, coordinators, eligibility workers and other agency staff who support clients in accessing PrEP. The agenda for this three-day event will include sessions on:

  • Latest local HIV epidemiology and how it relates to HIV prevention opportunities and challenges among vulnerable individuals and groups in Orange County

  • Current PEP and PrEP medications, recommendations, and financing options

  • Adherence and retention counseling and strategies

  • Enhancing client engagement with trauma-informed awareness, culturally affirming care, and motivational interviewing

  • Case scenarios from real practice
