The STI Clinical Single Subject Course provides participants with training in the most recent advancements in epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of viral and bacterial STIs.

Description

This 1 hour presentation will address recent developments in the prevention, diagnosis and management of prevalent STDs and will concentrate on one of the following topics: Mycoplasma genitalium

Course Objectives

  • Discuss the clinical management of Mycoplasma genitalium to include treatment, follow-up and partner management
  • Discuss the management of Mycoplasma genitalium
  • Discuss screening recommendations

Faculty Bio

Stephanie McLaughlin, MD, is a board-certified infectious disease physician. She is a practicing physician providing Sexually Transmitted Disease (STI), HIV, and Infectious Diseases specialty clinical care at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington affiliated hospitals, and the Public Health – Seattle King County (PHSKC) Sexual Health Clinic. Her research intersection of STIs and women’s health with a focus on Gonorrhea and bacterial Vaginosis.
