 Screen, Diagnose, Treat: Responding to Syphilis in Oklahoma offers an overview of current syphilis trends and priority concerns across the state. Participants will learn screening, diagnostic, and treatment practices grounded in the latest evidence. This session provides practical guidance to help providers strengthen prevention efforts and improve patient outcomes. 

 

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will demonstrate increased knowledge and confidence in identifying, diagnosing, managing, and treating syphilis across various populations, thereby improving overall prevention and health outcomes in their communities.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Describe the national and local epidemiology and trends of syphilis in Oklahoma.
  • State the current recommendations for syphilis screening, including considerations for pregnant persons and other priority populations.
  • Discuss evidence-based approaches for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of syphilis.
  • Identify key strategies and action steps for healthcare providers to reduce syphilis transmission and improve linkage to care and treatment outcomes.
