STI Overview
OBJECTIVES
1. Describe most recent epidemiology for reportable STIs in the United States and locally
2. Identify the common bacterial or antibiotic treated STIs
3. Identify the common viral STIs
4. Describe at least 2 population factors increasing one's risk for acquisition of an STI
5. Discuss provider skills in sexual health services3. Identify the common viral STIs
6. Describe the importance of interprofessional collaboration in health department and
private practice regarding STIs

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center at Johns Hopkins. Heersink School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
