1. Describe the core principles of Self-Determination Theory
2. Explain how autonomy, competence, and relatedness influence HIV prevention and care.
3. Identify communication practices that support or undermine patient motivation.
4. Apply autonomy-supportive strategies during HIV/STI clinical encounters.
