Class Information
Target Audience: Physicians, midlevel practitioners (PA, NP), nurses, and other health professionals who see patients with or at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Course Description: Faculty from the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center will use case discussions to present important diagnosis and treatment issues for common STIs. Four hours of lecture that will include an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities presented by urethritis and vaginitis and a review of the most recent data.
Course Objectives:
- Describe the various etiologies of erethritis and vaginitis and thir epidemiology and characteristics.
- Discuss testing and treatment strategies for urethritis and vaginitis.
- Delineate approaches to prevent recurrent urethritis and vaginitis.
The St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center is accredited by the Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation Statement
The St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
